Happy (belated) new year!!
Hello helloooo! happy belated new year! how was everyone's new year? Mine was pretty uneventful..had hotpot with the singaporeans, and one of my taiwanese friends fried nian gao..one person had ba gua, but it was all moldy!! (though this didn't stop people from eating it..ba gua is to hard to give up!! hahah..can tell how deprived we are here..)
So I've officially become a hard-core basketball fan. I am tenting (read: sleeping in a tent in temperatures close to zero degrees) to get into the Duke-UNC game. Because UNC is our arch rival, the tickets are really high in demand. So over the years, there evolved a Duke tradition called tenting, where students start "tenting" in line a month or a week before the game. The catch is that there's a limited munber of tents allowed, so there's INTENSE competition for registration. It's first come first serve, and the location is only released at the last minute, so we planted people all over the campus to wait out. Once the location is released, the nearest person will chiong to register. So there's basically a whole mob of people trying to get to the same place at the same time. Anyway, I'M SUPER EXCITED FOR THE GAME!! :):)
P.S: i found a photo of us 4 together! It's the only one though..and it's also a very "flattering" picture of me. oh wells.
