i realise that a lot of our blog posts are happy haha. but hey to be realistic, day-to-day life is rarely ever that sunny is it? like right now...i am dying under the workload, but i need someplace to vent so this is somehow my chosen outlet. these two weeks are crazy...a presentation to the entire cohort the monday before (on which i burnt the weekend before that), patient home visit last monday, group presentation on the patient home visit and a whole load of associated things tmr (which is in a mess right now), two case writeups to hand in next week (i haven't even found a patient for my second writeup and i want to do it this weekend), night call tmr, public health screening on sunday. argh!!to look on the bright side, everything else will seem a breeze after this week.
let's talk about my presentation the monday before. it was a group effort (everyone did some slides), but the prof only wanted 2 of us to present. so we drew lots, and as usual my luck got me the little piece of paper with a "p" on it. after burning my weekend on reading up the content and digging up journal articles, it was finally time to show our stuff. i finally can vaguely understand how the lecturers must feel, with a lecture theatre full of eyes peering down at you. It's quite funny that people were actually listening intently while we talked, and what really tickled me was seeing people take notes on what i was blabbing :) and when i put our slides online for the class to download (due to popular demand ha), some people actually replied to say that we did a great job. nothing like that for a little ego boost! ;)
and now, back to my work. groan.
