i'm back! and alive =)

hello my dear babes, i am back!! got some of that much-needed sleep, with lots of play thrown in. so i'm very very happy now! and aww yanni...this is your only source of relief now? *grin* don't know when your papers are but jiayou for them ok? same for buggy and puddle! =) can't wait till all of you are back!

anyway pros was quite ok i guess...anat and biochem were generally alright. biochem was easier than expected..but then again i expected it to be really horribly difficult so that's not saying a lot. physio was tough though :( hope i do well enough to avoid having to go for viva, which would really spoil everything. but just to keep on the safe side, going to continue reading the stuff for a bit so that if i really get myself landed with a viva i have a higher chance of passing it and not landing in subpaper. heard that the list of who has to go for viva will be out this coming thursday...cross fingers and toes!

after physio paper on wednesday which was the last paper, we had a class photo taken! quite a feat squeezing 250 pple, and the profs who came down, into the space. while we were waiting for everything to be set up properly, there was loads of lightning and thunder all around. hmm...with us all so closely packed, wonder what would happen if lightning actually struck somebody...

after that, got our med jacket! it's super poser...the back says "school of medicine" haha...the only thing i don't like about it is that it's dark brown with two stripes somewhat like the adidas jacket such that it makes me feel like a dhl deliverygirl haha!

then i went for tramp competition!! it's so weird, on a wednesday. and extremely anti-climatic cos after all the adrenaline and celebration and dinner and crazy phototaking, there's still school the next day. felt so happy to see everyone again! juniors are so affectionate and huggy that you just feel a part of them, even though you're a few years older and haven't seen them in ages. and it still feels a little odd to be there as a spectator, instead of competitor, as i've been for so many years running. watching them perform their routines, fretting before it and all..brings back lots of memories. i can remember the different things happening in the different years, like almost falling asleep waiting for our turn to come, and c div crying before b div competed cos they didn't get team first, and getting all the flowers and exchanging notes and gifts for good luck. but it's really different not to be part of the team. i really wanted to be the one up there competing, feeling all the stress before the routine, the pre-routine reminders from coach, the sudden quickening of heartbeat when the judges ring the bell, sweaty palms and all. plus the exhilaration of watching teammates do some of their best routines, and doing a great one myself. and when they reveal the scores, your heart almost stops. gym competitions really train your stress handling.

yesterday was one really good day. played badminton with a few pple from my anat group from 11 till 2. after that we were all packed up, but suddenly everyone was sitting on the floor and we talked till 5 before going home. felt really great, and it's probably been a long time since any of us sat down with other pple to talk about lots of stuff. and it's hard to find pple who you feel comfortable enough with to say anything, but i think i've found more people with whom i can talk freely to =)

watched too much tv today! added up to maybe 5 hours....i am so guilty haha. been in high spirits too today...actually found myself blasting songs on the computer and singing along, and realised that i haven't done that in a really really long time. and i realised how i haven't felt so relaxed in so long, i find it hard to remember what it feels like. as in, not the forced kind of relaxation whereby you tell yourself "i'll take an hour off to relax and do something else then get back to my mugging". rather, it's the kind of relaxation when you're free (i am almost!) from the major sources of stress. i guess this is good in a kind of way..meaning i take studying much more seriously now than i have every before. it's quite funny...in jc i thought i was loads more serious about studying than in secondary school, but now i am even more serious about studying than back in jc. and my sis commented that she'd never seen me study so much!

alright i think that's enough for the moment, it's so late already! took ages to type this entry cos i've been talking to loads of pple and exchanging photos etc. just for the record, i started at 11+ and it's 1.30am now. 2 hours for this! my writing/literature bit of my brain is most definitely atrophied from disuse :(
