the end of the school year is drawing to a close for most of us (sorry puddle) and everyone's going to be back really soon! :) looking forward to lots of outings with everyone...and buggy, i've already drawn out a timetable for may and june, but it still looks quite empty! all i have written in the boxes now are birthdays (in purple), days when various people come back (in blue), and the day when i go watch the phantom of the opera (events in orange). hopefully when everyone's back, at least half the boxes will be filled in orange and i wouldn't have drawn my calendar in vain. so when you get back, call me and fix a date ok =)

should have cleared my exams quite comfortably since i didn't get listed for re-exam. but didn't do spectacularly either since i wasn't listed for distinction viva, but then didn't think i was going to anyway, so no disappointments there. 2 weeks later we're having this professional communication and development programme thing where they kinda teach how how to interact with patients and all, and at the end of it there's an exam..it's only a 3-day course! hopefully mcq ha :)

lately i've been reading the papers more (everyday if i can), and yesterday i saw this article on a profoundly stupid (or so i thought!) idea, that some body somewhere is seriously considering. apparently what they want to do is to assign everyone a certain amount of carbon credits they can use per year. then they make allowances for different environments, eg those in cold places get more for heating, whereas those in tropical climates like singapore get more for air-conditioning. (is this starting to sound dumb yet?) then they somehow allocate a certain amount of carbon emission to things, like each person is entitled to 15kg of cotton clothes per year or something like that. makes me wonder how it's all calculated. and they very cleverly heap more stuff onto this system, by allowing those who need more carbon credits to buy from those who have a surplus. this whole buying credits to offset your carbon emissions thing, while it -may- have been a good idea initially, is being disfigured by all these zealots. while you're at it, why not just suggest we all go back to our caveman days.

on a brighter note, here's something that made me feel tremendously accomplished for a day!

i wish i had time to play around with more jigsaws. i have i think three more at home waiting for me! but i need to get frames and glue and all that, else any others i complete will face the same fate as this one, which is currently back in the box. dismantled, yes =(
